Litigation administratorAn opportunity has arisen for a litigation administrator to join Capital One's UK Legal department, in the litigation team.
You will provide support to the litigation team by recording, tracking and helping prepare court claims, managing the workflow through the team and being a point of liaison with courts.
Key ResponsibilitiesManaging the team's document management system and data input at the outset of pre-litigation or court claims, and keeping that information up to date as cases progressInterpreting upcoming deadlines and using judgement to drive team prioritisationRecording claims based on a review of incoming correspondence and inputting data into case trackersEngaging with other business areas to ensure all information is obtained and recorded, in order to assist the team with handling claimsDrafting and filing court documents, including acknowledgments of service and defencesBeing responsible for recording key court deadlines and prioritising work for the team to meet those deadlinesFiling documents with courts; and processing payments where cases are resolved.
Candidate should have the following skillsExperience of PPI (complaints or litigation) or a legal background is preferredOrganisational skills, specifically the ability to handle and record large volumes of data using spreadsheetsComfortable with data, using Excel/Google SheetsBeing able to adapt working style to meet the challenges of an unpredictable and continually evolving environmentAbility to identify and implement innovative process improvementsWhat you should know about how we recruitWe pride ourselves on hiring the best people, not the same people.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
